How it is built
A small tilted disc hat of stiffened black satin, 16 cm across, topped by a clear acrylic arc crest that rises 10 cm.

What it is made of
- 01Stiffened polyester satin over a buckram base
- 02Cast acrylic (PMMA) planes, 2 mm, edges polished
- 03Satin-covered metal headband, 5 mm
Care: wipe the acrylic with a soft, dry microfibre cloth; no alcohol or solvent cleaners. Store it in its box, away from direct sun and heat.

Putting it on
- Sits on a thin satin-covered headband: slide it on from behind the ears so the piece rests on the right side, just above the temple.
