About TERRUVO

Headpieces built like small buildings: cast acrylic, steel wire and stiffened fabric instead of feathers and net. Drawn first, then worn.

A fascinator is usually feathers and net. Ours are structures: curved planes of cast acrylic, fine steel wire and stiffened fabric, put together like a small building that sits on your head.

Drawn, then worn

Every TERRUVO piece begins as a line drawing: where the arc springs from, how far it cantilevers, where the wire braces it and how it meets the base. Only when the drawing stands up on paper does it become acrylic and steel. That is why each piece carries a drawing number, T-01 to T-24 for the headpieces, and why you can see its structure drawn over the photograph when you hover it in the shop.

The names come from architecture too: Cantilever, Vault, Keystone, Cupola. They describe how each piece holds itself up.

One arc for everything

All our pieces share one element, the TERRUVO Arc: a curved plane of acrylic, a steel wire and a small steel bead at its end. It builds the headpieces, closes the evening bags, forms the brooches, sits on the combs and clips and finishes the top edge of the opera gloves.

So a headpiece, a clutch and a pair of gloves from us belong together without having to match exactly. Our attendance lists put them together for the day you are dressing for.

What we use, and what we don’t

  • Cast acrylic (PMMA), 2–3 mm, in clear, smoke grey, violet and ice blue, with polished edges.
  • Stainless steel wire, 1.2 mm, with steel bead ends.
  • Stiffened polyester satin and crepe over a buckram base for the fabric pieces and bags.
  • No feathers, no fur and no other animal materials. The shapes come from structure, not plumage.

Each product page lists the materials, the size and the weight of that piece, and how it is fixed in your hair.
